Presentation of Chemical Abstracts with more than four decades of petroleum research
As part of the planned university cooperation, the German Oriental Society for Higher Education was generously presented with the Chemical Abstracts from 1928 to 1971. The Director of the German Petroleum Museum, Dr Martin Salesch, presented the scientific volumes to the Chairman of the Board of the German Oriental Society for Higher Education, Dr Frank Höselbarth, containing more than four decades of petroleum research (see press review ‘Cellesche Zeitung’ of 2 June 2009: Petroleum Museum to cooperate with universities). The estimated value of the research series published by the American Chemical Society is about US$ 10,000.
The 54 volumes of the Chemical Abstracts are to be sent to the scientific libraries of Arab universities by air or sea and presented to others in order to make the profound knowledge and results of petroleum research generally available.
